This gallery shows the design drawings and construction process for ‘Red Yarn, The Deep Woods’ pilot episode.

Red Yarn is a children's entertainer based in Portland, OR. He performs traditional American folk, country, and gospel music while having adventures with his gang of critter puppet friends.

As art director I designed the look of the set, the size and placement of the different elements, and its functionality by creating hidden spaces for the puppeteers to hide in. I worked directly with the production director to create design drawings based on the storyboards and concept sketches. I supervised during the building process to make sure that all the parts came together correctly and that the overall visual style was maintained.
